THE AFRICA BATTERY INITIATIVE (ABI)

The Africa Battery Initiative was established  in the year 2020 by the African Diasporas from Tanzania, The DRC, Burundi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, living in Germany, Norway and UK.

 The Africa Battery Iniative is part of Climate , Energy and Environment  Development Foundation (CEEDF) registered in Zanzibar Tanzania.

COOPERATION BETWEEN EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY (EAC) AND AFRICA BATTERY INITIATIVE (ABI)

The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organisation of 7 Partner States: The Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of South Sudan, the Republic of Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania, with its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.

 

The EAC is one of the fastest growing regional economic blocks in the world, its also a sole regional on our plante which is endowed with  abudance of Critical Minerals including Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, Graphate, Copper, Manganese and Rare Earth.

It is a great honor and privilage for the Africa Battery Iniative (ABI) to join hands with the East African Community (EAC) to highlighting the regional importance in both global energy transition and the global decarbonization endevours pertaining to the NET-ZERO Mobility!

Our Objectives

To attract global investors in to EV-Battery Value Chain in Africa.

To create strategic partnership between Africa and global communities on Critical Raw Materials & Rare Earth.

To make the global community understand that for both Zero-Emission Mobility to become reality, the African Continent should be intergrated in the whole value chain of the global green ecosystem.

To make the global community understand that , he global Energy Transion will never becme reality without involving African Continent as an equal partner.

To ensure that all critical raw materials and rare earth needed for EV-Battery manufacturing, semi-conduct production etc, are first and foremost added value in Africa before being exported to Europe, USA, China etc. This is to guarantee job creation and to meett the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs ) incuding poverty alleviation.

To support the Africa Countries aiming at establishing EV-Battery Manufacturing plants in their countries.

To support mega infrastructure and clean energy projects in Africa , which aims at making the critical Minerals accessible and conveyable with Net-Zero Emission.

To ensure that No Child Labor is involved in the whole mining industry in Africa
